I am new to this site and comic writing so i started off simple. please rate and tell me what you think.

Its not intrinsically bad, so I've rated it as 'okay', but the nail-in-the-head-guy-putting-a-nail-in-his-head-in-the-final-panel-thing is the most over-used joke on the entire site, and so most people on here won't find it funny. Look at most users and their first comics almost always use the nail-in-the-head-guy.

It doesn't mean you're not funny though. Make more comics.

Oh, and welcome to stripcreator.

I, for one, applaud your use of the nail in the head guy in your first comic. You're carrying on a fine SC tradition assuring our children's children will proudly select nail in the head guy when they are ready to make their first strips. You are a true patriot.

While the nail-in-head guy is a little obvious, I applaud your minimalist tendencies.  The typical n00b mistake is to cram too much stuff in, so I really encourage your straightforward approach of actually crafting a joke.  Strip on!
