I bought a new car last week, and the CD's I took with me to the dealership to load into the player for my first drive were carefully chosen. Specifically, I wanted to hear the sound system booming Chemical Brothers' Exit Planet Dust as I pulled off the lot.

Throughout college, every time I moved and set up my stereo, I always played the same CD (Beat Farmers' Loud and Plowed and Live). After college, Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dream was the CD of choice whenever I got a new car or audio component.

So what is that one "go-to" CD that you absolutely must play whenever you're testing a new system?

Well...My tastes have changed quite a bit lately. It was AFI's The Art Of Drowning, but then it changed to The Ramones's Rocket To Russia. After that it was Tiger Army's Tiger Army 2: Power of Moonlight, and finally, Radiohead's The Bends. I urge you all to buy the CD's I listed, because they are really good.
