Is your name in any way an allusion to the poem about the same? Or just because you happen to like it?

The song or the whole musical?

I love Stars. One of my favourite songs to sing, and I think I do it pretty well (Bec agrees, but she's biased *grin*).

Stars is my favorite song in the show, as well. After that, it would have to be Master of the House. I would love to play either Javert or Thenardier.

Well, Les Miserables is both one of my favorites books and musicals. Eponine's always been my favorite character.
As for the poem part, I'm not sure I know of any poem about an Eponine that isn't Les Mis fanfic. Can you enlighten me? I'm curious.

The whole musical. I got to see it twice- once on Broadway, and once in Omaha.

My favorite character was the set itself. The stage was a big turntable, and the actors could walk "long distances" while remaining in place on the stage. Then the main structure used in some of the scenes was controlled remotely to flip around into the battlement, and back into another structure. Also, in the sewer scene, it was just a darkened stage and a gobo inserted into the light to give the illusion of sunlight coming through a sewer grating. Then, when Javert's falling from the bridge, the effect is again created with lights.

I saw it on Broadway, as well, and again when the touring company came here to Atlanta. The production was absolutely amazing. DexX, have you seen the 10th Anniversary Concert that was performed in London? It had an incredible cast! It's not the same as the show, but at least they did the whole thing (not just the songs).

I would claim Valjean, but I just can't hit some of those notes...except maybe in falsetto. I guess I claim Thenardier.

I've seen Les Mis twice: once in Tucson, once in Phoenix. Both had some spectacular performances, but when I first saw it in Tucson, I must admit I became slightly lachrymose during the epilogue ...

Fantine: Come with me, where chains will never bind you ...
Me: Sniff.

But since Javert's part has already been claimed for the SC Regulars production, I'll have to take Enjolras. Or maybe Thénardier. Or if nobody else wants Valjean, I could inhale some helium and do "Bring Him Home".

The only big musical I've seen was Cats, in 1988. My girlfriend dragged me to it, and I sat there going, "What the fuck is this supposed to be?"
