We decided to rent a couple of DVDs and spend the evening on the couch huddled in the warm glow of the laptop screen.

The theme for the evening was mindfuck flicks. We warmed up with The Game, starring Michael Douglas which got the confusion flowing, followed by the tour de force Memento, which still has my head spinning. To make matters worse, I just found the website for Momento http://www.otnemem.com which I'm sure will make my head ache even more.

Follow it up with some "Light" mindfucking (Try out LA confidential and The Usual Suspects , Existenz) , and then re watch memento and see if you spotted all the things you missed the first time round.

Cube was interesting - get the DVD if you like hearing directors talk at length about the stuff they intended to convey but didn't.

The Usual Suspects was extremely very much good.

Never saw LA Confidential.

Existenz was a pile of ass.

Memento was really good, but I am not with all the people who say you need to keep rewatching it. If you missed it the firt time, it wasn't necessary to the story. You can catch it when you rewatch it a few years later, as you probably will.

Existenz was superb as a mindfuck , as long as you thought throughout "Are we in the game , are we in reality , are we in the game". And the development of the "Tooth gun" was superb.

I haven't seen it, but sometimes rewatching a film is essential. Fight Club was intentionally designed that way, every time I watch it I spot something new, and it WAS relevant to the plot, I just happened to miss it the first time round. So, I suggest that if people tell you to rewatch it, do so, the majority are usually right.
