My only complaint is that you take too long to get to a punchline. You would have been served better by using the 'splitter' background and using the 'blue' character over and over in a monologue, getting it done in one comic instead of dragging out the Sad News into a series.
I think you have some promise, but work on the one punchline per comic ratio.
