Over the last couple days I waded through all of my comics. It wasn't too tough since I've only got about 570. This would probably be a chore for those of you in the thousands.

I was curious to see what comic gems were floating around in there that I'd forgotten about. I was surprised at what I found.

I started off slowly. Early on I used a lot of references to comics I was currently reading, like Diesel Sweeties and Goats. My comics were more extensions of them than stand alone comics in their own rights.

At some point I started easing into making my own comics. Then we started the comic competitions. That spawned quite a few. I started using comics more to punctuate things I was talking about in the forums.

It's obvious what my style of choice is. Of my 570 or so comics, just over 20% of them are the exploding dog stickmen, more often than not on the diesel1 background. I think I tend to focus more on the dialogue than the characters, backgrounds or props.

Let's not forget the wirthling sucks phenomenon. Almost 9% of my comics are about dissing wirthling in one way or another. Who would have thought that one silly comic contest could have spawned that?

There are also a fair number of comics I just can't figure out. I honestly can't figure out what the fuck I was thinking when I did them. If I did a lot of comic making drunk I'd guess it was that. But I don't. So I dunno.

So I made a few sets while I was going through.

Here are the comics I though were pretty funny, and stood fairly well on their own. There are only a little over 30.

I had to make a wirthling sucks set, too. I think most of these are pretty funny, but I don't know how well they stand up to people who aren't privy to the whole inside joke thing.

I also make sets for all my stickmen comics, since I really enjoy them. There's set one and two.

So if you're interested join me in my walk through comic history. If you're not, then shove off.

These comics contain more funny than wirthling does my home-made cyanide pie.

I forgot all about the wirthling-sucks movement. I never forgot how much he sucks though, so i'd say the series was a complete success.
