I'd like to give the "seasonal items" topic its previous subject of discussion back and move the discussion of fast food stuff to here.

So, what's everyone's favorite fast food?

I personally have few qualms with fast food, but some places I just go to for certain items. I love the grilled stuffed burrito at Taco bell, but that's about it really.

In N Out makes tasty burgers, but you have to order four patties to be fufilled.

Burger king has some okay stuff. I like the onionesque rings, and the chicken... things.. are pretty good.

I really like Carl's Jr. Some of the best fast food burgers out there. I'm a big fan of the western bacon and western bacon six dollar burger. Those are the only burgers/sandwiches I don't have to specify "NO MAYO, NO KETCHUP, YOU FUCKING RETARD".

Wendy's has decent food for somewhat decent prices, and square burgers are funny.

Jack in the Box is toxic waste, but I often find myself ordering the two regular tacos just to satiate the acid gods in my stomach. Also, the sourdough jack is alright, provided they don't screw up my order. The fries ain't bad neither.

Arby's has some awesome food too, in my opinion. So what if they mix in bread with the meat to make it cheaper? It tastes fine to me. It's also the only fast food I will reheat later. As I mentioned before, the Chicken Cordon Bleu at Arby's is awesome, provided you remember to ask for no mayo if you don't like it. Arby's has the most stuff I like on a menu, including the sandwiches as well as the jalapeno poppers and cheese sticks. The only real downfall of Arby's is the price, which is quite high.

When I used to eat fast food, I alway's liked In N Out's burgers and shakes, but not their fries. Yes, they are fresh cut in the restaurant, but there is some magical ingredient that saps all the heat out of them as they cross the counter, and they also tend to be soggy and limp.

The one fast food place I will never give up is a chain up in LA and Orange counties--Tommy's Hamburgers. Everything comes with chili on it unless you ask to hold it, and if you do that, you may as well go elsewhere. It's the first place I ever had chili fries--awesome and artery clogging. The other great thing is their speed--they put 12 Mexicans on an assembly line constantly cooking and putting the food together and by the time you're getting your change counted back to you, you have a burger that came off the grill when you placed your order. Luckily, I don't get up to LA/OC very often, so I'm not tempted too much.

I just gave up my last regional fast food chain--Rubio's. They now have stores as far east as Colorado, but started here in San Diego. Like other chains, as they've expanded, their menu has gotten bland.

I slammed chain restaurants in another thread, and the same comments apply to fast food chains--except in addition the mediocre food, it's also largely unhealthy. You've all heard the arguments, so I'm not going to repeat them, and yes, you can find balanced, low-calorie, low-fat meals if you try, but the vast majority of fast food is slop.

I lost 70 lbs 4-5 years ago and kept it off. The first 50 came off without any change in activity level. How did I do it? I attribute most of that to cutting out the fast food i was eating about 10 times a week.

White Castle has the best burgers, but their fries are horrible. However White Castle is the thing that you can only have once a month to prevent massive heart damage.

But if I had to pick the best all around place I'd choose Wendy's

There's a japanese restaurant around here that can only be called "fast food." It's known as Asaka, and though they don't serve food you'd eat while driving, it's prepared amazingly quickly, and for generally cheaper than most other dine-in/carry-out places.

It's probably not the best japanese food in the world, but the price is more agreeable to me.

Carl's Jr./Hardee's is fantastic but expensive for fast food. Incidentally, it really freaks me out that they call it two different things depending on where in the country you are, but use the exact same signage. I've heard the story and it's still weird.

I really miss Jack-in-the-Box, which seems to exist everywhere BUT Indiana, which is bizarre. I always thought it had the best cost/taste ratio, and a good variety.

In-N-Out seems entirely overrated to me, plus the radio commercials ("In-n-out, in-n-out, that's what a hamburger's all about") made me uneasy. What, exactly, did you do to my hamburger?

The craving for White Castle hits every few months. Usually, when I think about what my apartment will smell like the next day, that craving goes away.

Anyway, since we've been on the subject of West Coast regional places, the best burgers I've ever eaten were at Fatburger. God almighty, those things were huge and tasty, and now I'm 2000 miles away from them. Thanks for bringing it up, assholes.

My favorite is Kopp's in Milwaukeee but I'm only back there every couple of years so when I am I have it once or twice per day. Here in NY I'll have Wendy's, Subway or Pizza if I'm in a rush.

I think we can all agree that fast food isn't great for you so I'm not even going to preface my selections with it:

french fries: Gotta be Arby's curly fries. Greasey goodness with myserious spices

I enjoy the Burger King (known as the Burger Kang around these parts) bacon double cheese burger, and here's the catch: get it with BBQ sauce. You'll thank yourself.

People say Mickey Ds sucks and they aren't alltogether wrong, but their regular cheese burger (the kind you used to eat as a kid) are still really tasty.

For lunch today, I had three taco supremes from Taco Bell. They were good.

Ice in the drinks is very important to me. I don't knwo why but the style of ice effects the taste of the drink or my drinking enjoyment. All in all, Wendy's and Taco Bell has good fat ice.

If you're ever down my way, we'll go to Abdullah's House of Ribs in SWATs (South West Atlan-Tuh) and have some of the best BBQ/chinese food going today. Also, it's owned by former prowrestler Abdullah the Butcher.

the cafeteria at my uni had awesome food... sometimes. There were, like, 7 different stations with 7 different kinds of food... unfortunately, it was usually only the grease pit that had short enough lines (as all the other good food had lineups galore).

Dunno if it's a chain, but I was impressed by Baha Fresh in LA. For four dollars you could get a burrito the size of a shoe.

A&W has the best burgers by far of the big chains.

I really like Arby's, though I don't get there all that often.

Wendy's is good for their chicken sandwiches, but their burgers are absolute shit.

We have a local chain called Duchess that makes the best damn burgers anywhere. They also have the world's most dull web site. http://www.duchessrestaurants.com/

KFC popcorn chicken rocks.

BK double cheeseburgers are good (compared to McDeath). That char-flame-broiled flavoring make them seem like a good simulation of actual meat. Their fries are good too -- some kind of crispy coating on them.
