Nate, I made that page for a bit of fun, to brush up on my woeful HTML skills (Netscape Composer wrote most of it - I mainly cleaned it up) but mainly as a kind of personal tribute to this great little online community we have here. I don't want to be bitchy - this may amaze you, but I am a nice person 99% of the time - however, I strongly dislike you. You consistently piss me off, and I have never once seen anybody come to your defence, signifying that you are not a popular person around here.

What I am getting at is this: Are you a part of this community? I don't think you are. I don't want to include you on the regulars page if you are not really a regular, a true member of our community.

So, what do I do? Include someone I intensely dislike who I believe does not belong, or be nasty about it and leave you out?

As far as I am concerned, Nate, it's my hobby page, and I will include you if and when I ever think you belong on it. *shrug* I think it would be dishonest to do otherwise.

After I get around to doing Perm's and Lara's.

Actually, lara7's is going to be cool - she wears those distinctive Far Side glasses, so I am anticipating many Far Side parodies and tributes when I finish the character and it goes online. Perm is a difficult one, though - he sent me three different pics, and they look like three different people. I am struggling to find the basis for a resemblance. Otherwise, I would have drawn him ages ago.

[*]He's had enough of a presence that the vast majority, if not all of the regulars recognize him.
[*]Although you and some others may have taken a strong disliking to him and/or his postings, he has had a constructive presence in quite a few of these forum discussions and made a fair number of decent contributions to our comicfests.[/list=1]No offense intended to any of those wonderful people already on the list, but in my book, he should have gone on before one or two of them. Please make sure that if you're doing this as a sort of site resource, rather than a personal lark, you're not letting your feelings toward him cloud your judgment.

DexXieboo, don't fret over it. Just think of him as like the black sheep of a family: You still hang his picture on the wall in case of a surprise visit, but if anyone asks, he's dead.

As for defence- or friends, I've chated with Kajun a times and with DragonXero alot, and even though theres a compleate parralel of lifestyle between me and him we seem to get along ok. Im sorry I've expressed unpopular veiwpoints or teased when it wasn't apropriate. I guess that it may be no one here respects me(if thats the word for it). But I just say, thats ok, I could understand why.

Ladyj, I'll try from now on to read what you say entirely(missed that crying bit last time), and take it more seriously.

DexX, I hope you understand I've got nothing against your current relationship and that I had a very hard time finding what I really meant. Perhaps I should turn the "Think Switch" back on.

While we're standing up for less-than-popular folks here, I'd like to put in a word for joshw. Although he often acts like a 15-year old, he occasionally posts some very funny comments.

About JismNate, well, I don't like him, either, but he has an astounding ability to take abuse and keep coming back for more. He's sorta like the Energizer Bunny or Jason from the Friday the 13th movies. I respect his resilience if not his opinions and behavior in certain circumstances. I'm also willing to keep an open mind about his ability to grow and improve. He is young, after all.

Of course, I could be wrong.

As much as I truly dislike him, I do have to agree that he's made his place in the community as a regular. One does not have to contribute anything worthwhile to be part of the community, one just has to stick around long enough to be recognizable.

DexX, it is your site and you're the administrator, and if you don't want to add him, don't. I would not fault you for it, and I would defend you to anyone who did. However, he is a regular. I would love it if he would go away and not be one, but he is one.
