For anybody that has the dough, I highly recommend the Phalanx speaker system from Alon`. It is the ne plus ultra of home stereo speaker systems. It's from the guy who was the chief engineer at Dahlquist for a billion years and was responsible for the stunning imagery of the free-field DQ-10s.

Try a pair of AtmaSphere 60 watt valve state mono blocks to drive them and don't even skimp on the preamp.

And since I can't afford them, if you DO buy some, call me and I'll bring whiskey and CDs.

And enjoy the tax break. Probably won't be much coming tax season... but the year after should be good. I found I was able to add an exemption so I'd have more money in my pocket during the year, and I still got a nice refund.
