According to Brad, it is a bug in the newest version of PHP. he went back to a slightly older release, and all was fine.

Slashing problem is fixed, and I've fixed a bunch of the slashes that got saved to the comics database, but I have to leave. I'll fix the rest tomorrow. If there are any other problems, please e-mail me.
