Ohhh, I'm sorry. You didn't like the fantasy world, can't comprehend anything that couldn't happen in real life, right?

The movie was very well-shot, had wonderful acting for the most part, and followed one of the greatest fantasy stories ever. You sound like a jaded 14 year old who just learned that Santa Claus isn't real.

Do you want ants? Because that's how you get ants.

Maybe I did.

I disagree, but OK, I see your point - you hated them.

The films had pretty special effects, but that was it. They are simply overrated cheese that dazzled the audience with enough CGI to make them not notice that the story was bland, the acting was tepid, and that Peter Jackson was a hack with financial backing.
They just are not that good.[/quote]

An example of how good the CGI was is when you don't notice it's there. For the most part I didn't.

OK, so you either love or hate those kind of cinema moments, depending.

If you want to be critical of anything, criticse Tolkien for ripping off Beowulf. Don't shoot the messenger. For the most part, Jackson did an excellent job.
