Since the other thread has kind of digressed, and there's nothing I enjoy talking about more than music (except maybe wrestling), I thought I'd start a new one.

What are the sexiest albums that you know? The misses and I were discussing our top "doing it" albums, and here's 10 that we thought of, in no order.

1) Portishead: Dummy
For when you want to feel like a spy
2) Pulp:This is hardcore
Something about Jarvis' voice just reeks of cool...and sex
3) Radiohead: OK computer
I think the ambient tones of it are very erotic
4) The The: Dusk
Classic.
5) Jeff Buckley: Grace
Beautiful voice, melodic and gorgeous
6) Brad: Shame
my wife's personal fave

It's about as close to Enigma as I can get
8) Bjork: Debut
Dancy, soft at times, fast at others
9) Beatles: White album
Great album in so many ways, the only bad part is that i own it only on vinyl, so if i don't mind stopping, running down stairs, flipping the record and then running back up, it's perfect.
10) The soundtrack to Romeo and Juliette(the hip one)
Mainly for that Garbage song. Yummy.

I'm not fussed on that particular song either but if "The Benny Hill Chase Music" followed by "Wind Beneath My WIngs" had been on when I pulled Lucy that year, I'd still have said so.

Dont Bis do the Powerpuff Girls endtheme?

The wife likes them a LOT more than I do. There's two separate "eras" of Bis, each of which has its good points and bad points. The first few records (up to "Social Dancing") are kind of mildly cartoony electropunk. Fun, but all the shouting and sloganeering can get annoying. The last two records ("Music For A Stranger World" and "Return To Central") are more electronic/techno based records, which lose a lot of the hyper-shouty stuff that could get on your nerves, but also lost some of the hooks that made the early stuff so enjoyable.

They're certainly worth a shot, especially if you find one of their CDs used or in a cut-out bin. I'm just not sure if my mild antipathy towards them recently is due to the quality of the music, or just that I've had to hear those records (and Placebo's "Black Market Music") almost daily for the past 6 months, cause Sarah loves them so.

Oh, and yes. That's a good example of their earlier, electropunkier stuff.

The one song of theirs that just doesn't grow old to me no matter how many times I'm forced to hear it is "Eurodisco" on the Social Dancing CD. Frickin' great tune.
